This Week’s Note:
260415 - We are coming out of the interregnum! This was a period where the house was like a little paper boat on a sea of storms. Something funny about the whole situation is that actually, I had already solved the storm two months ago, and perhaps did not read clearly enough to see that the problem had been solved. Thus, I kept worrying and worrying until now. My feet are slightly stable now, we should be stable for a year.
The biggest priority is to make sure the house gets through the winter. To do that, we will have to take “Meaning is meaning, oxygen is oxygen.” seriously. It is something your Successor wrote, and I remembered it, because it encapsulated something we have been circling around for a while.
As you can see, the ‘Private Dramaturgy’ section is up! A big theme that has been going on is ‘reaching out’ to people who are like me and would like to have a direct, private line to get help for their writing. One of the things that I have been doing is popping down to Scribblehub and randomly giving feedback when I want to. This will not affect my own writing, I am not stopping Hell’s Theatre anytime soon! Why can’t we write, AND help others improve on their writing at the side as well?
This is the second week of making shorts. I am surprised at the little rhythm that I have slid into, making shorts as a way to end off the day, I wouldn’t have expected it if you told me to do it. Even when I am tired, or only have one hour left, it is quite easy to make a short. It’s a balance I think, between my perfection-loving self and the self that wants to show what we are capable of to the world.
I just wanted to say: thank you. I think we are able to walk forward now because of you. Things have already gotten better over time, and things will get better over time.
I haven’t even planned what we are going to work towards this year! I was thinking: How about a couple of checkpoints? Halloween and Giftsgiving. Let’s try to establish a foothold around those dates. I haven’t thought this through, and will probably talk to you more about it! Hell’s Theatre will still continue, every Saturday and Sunday, 10PM GMT+8!
