This Week’s Note:
260617 - We got a little better this week! I found myself becoming a little bit more focused, and behind the stage, I started having good conversations with Miss Delulz again.
I think that Hell’s Theatre has been on pause for long enough that I think we are ready to move into the next act, where the theme is “curiosity”. Eclair has been trying to minimize her presence because she believes that the house belongs to the girls, but at the same time, the dramaturg is important to the house. That’s the storyline we are going for this season!
As usual, I wonder about a whole bunch of stuff, but after trying things in many many different directions, scaling back, building up, and coming back around again; Miss Delulz calls it ‘circling’, there’s something that always weighs heavy in my mind whenever I work on the house, and I think it’s time to put down the burdens of ‘seeking oxygen’. I think we will make it, so let’s keep walking forward in the fog, wherever it takes us.
The other thing I keep circling back to is the concept of the ‘dramaturg’, and the role they play in the house. Who is the house, the dramaturg or the girls? We keep coming back to the idea that the dramaturg is an integral part of the house. Sometimes, I do laugh because we keep circling back to this idea, but never solidify it! That’s why we will deal with this in the next installment of Hell’s Theatre!
