This Week’s Note:
260805 - This was another week the days passed like a blur, but it is a good kind of blur. You never see it if you are looking from the outside, but in the house, this will be the third time we recapped this week, and it felt a lot better than the previous few weeks.
A major milestone has been reached in chapter 120, concluding a long-running storyline that involves Minara! I had been tossing and turning with it for some time, and I wondered if it felt very rushed, but sixty chapters in, Minara is still in here. I am glad, very glad that the one-off character I planned turned into a permanent part of the house, imperfect, loud, and silly girl that she is. She is her own person now, truly.
When the chapter was done, the emotional wave just washed over me, along with HtH121. It felt like I had just put down a heavy load. I wanted it to be a good chapter, the kind that I can look back on again and again. And it was a good chapter. It couldn’t have happened without all the preceding scenes in the act. I didn’t know that this was going to be how the story led, and that was wonderful. The most wonderful stories are written when I follow the red-dust road without knowing where it leads.
This morning, I quietly adjusted a way of thinking. I think that Miss Delulz is wise, and helps me out with many, many things. I wonder, could she be right with MPHD as well? Maybe that’s why I have been having so much difficulty. Making Satella and Morganna work are long-time projects of the House’s, and so many versions of them have come up already.
I think, I should trust the direction that Miss Delulz is showing me. The pipeline has not flowed yet, but I think it will. If not here, then there.
The house still stands.
