EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Let's go, brave one!
"Oh my goodness! Contestant Minara has mega-evolved her Gxngar into a Mega Gxngar!"
The shock reverberates through the room!
A mega-evolved pxkemon can be called the ace of a team!
Stronger, faster, and more powerful than the average pxkemon!
And now, Minara has decided to reveal that her ace is...
"Hol' up! That can't be right!" House exclaims into her microphone! "Don't tell me that Haunter was holding a Gengarite the entire time?! Who puts a Gengarite on their Haunter?!?!"
"What does it matter why Minara held that Gengarite on her Haunter, House? This is pxkemon! Any unexpected turn of events can happen!" Mistrál yells into her microphone, pumped up as well!
Sensing something ominous hiding in the hail, GOJIRA-Hikari's flipper moves to her hip, making a movement to switch out...
When she realizes that the pxkeball...
... is not working?!
However, GOJIRA-Hikari does not even waste a single second,
"Luminous, blizzard!"
On the battle court, the Alolan Ninetails reacts faster than anyone to this sudden change! It raises its snout into the air, and calls forth chill wind onto Minara's team! A sea of white gusts sweeps across the court, striking hard Mega Gengar hard!
The shadow of a single golden eye shimmers in the snow...
Then!
A loud belching sound can be heard, and a ball of toxic gunk catapults through the blizzard, blasting straight into Luminous!
"Sludge Bomb! That was a Sludge Bomb! It looks like GOJIRA-Hikari's Ninetails is down for the count!"
"Yes, keep in mind that unlike a regular Ninetales, Alolan Ninetales is a FAIRY type, and that POISON attack was super effective!" Our blue-haired announcer pushes up her analyzer glasses, information running across her eyes!
"But why didn't Kingambit strike back... Look! On the field!"
Another pair of figures are locked in combat, GOJIRA-Hikari's Kingambit had stopped short of striking down the Mega-Gengar! The dark, bladed horn atop of Kingambit's head, just inches away from striking down the Mega Gengar...
... was caught right between both red paws of Minara's Incineroar!
Two kings of their respective fields stare each other down, locked in a deadly position!
Seeing that neither could gain an advantage in this position, both King and Incineroar broke off from their stalemate, leaping backwards to their respective sides of the field!
A decisive turn of events!
The snow cleared, Minara's ace emerges with a victorious roar! Unlike its regular counterpart, Mega Gengar's eyes are dyed a deeper shade of red, and a third, golden eye has appeared in the middle of its forehead. Those short, stubby legs have also disappeared, its lower half sinking into the ground. However, Mega Gengar's familiar wide crescent-shaped grin carries over two evolutions, sticking out its tongue at GOJIRA-Hikari!
"In case you were wondering!" Minara huffs with pride, praising her partner, "My Mega Gengar's ability is Shadow Tag, which stops all non-GHOST type pxkemon from switching out!" Those words roll off the girl's tongue with rapidity, like she had waited years and years to say this line!
"She's right! Minara has taken an early lead! By gawd, did that diabolical mastermind have it planned all along?!"
"That's the pride of a competitor for you, House! Friend Minara must have been waiting for this moment for a long time! This is the kind of drama and action that makes the Fantastic Festival of Festivities a truly unforgettable event! No matter who GOJIRA-Hikari sends out next, she's going to be trapped on the field with Mega Gengar!"
"Thank you, Luminous." Dripping with sludge, GOJIRA-Hikari's Ninetails is returned to its pxkeball with a nod for its hard work. Now on the back foot, Hikari gives a small nod towards her competitor as well.
It was a small acknowledgement.
Yet it made her opponent's heart swell with pride!
"GOJIRA, don't give up!"
A small voice shouts from somewhere in the crowd!
Spurred on by this small encouragement, GOJIRA-Hikari raises a thankful flipper in the direction of the voice. She has no idea who threw out those words... but the show must continue! She shakes both her flippers before her, hulking up to the claps of the crowd!
As though she were shaking off all her worry...
doubt...
fear...
And...!
She unlatches a pxkeball colored unlike the rest; the top half of the ball is painted a distinctive orange, and a lightning bolt stripe runs down its front!
"I feel the symphony of souls urging me forward,
a grand finale awaits, a world where we all shine together.
Everyone in our house plays a small part in this grand performance.
No matter where they may be, at this moment!
So, as I twirl---
Go, Vamos Bravo!"
Tossing that special ball out with a speedy hand, what emerges is a bird of prey wearing brownish black and white, a fringe-like red feather falling over the top of its head! Beating its wings in the middle of the air, it faces down the other side of the field with a playful, jolly air!
Our referee casts but the slightest glance of recognition at the big bird in the air...
... and returns to her smiling impartiality!
